Futaleufú is a border town with 1019 inhabitants, it has an aerodrome  but  it can also be reached through Carretera Austral which was inaugurated in 1982.

The visitor could walk around the town and admire the houses, visiting the Laguna Espejo and Futalefú river.
In November and December there are several traditional parties and celebrations.
